Grant a semblance of life to a corpse, allowing it to answer questions. Skeleton and creatures killed with Acid, Fire, Lightning, Necrotic, or Radiant damage no longer have a mouth and can’t be made to talk using this spell.
Armour is an important component of Baldur’s Gate 3. Specifically, you can outfit your character with headwear often referred to as Helmets that sometimes provide specific protections or abilities alongside boosting stats. Effects range from defensive measures such as protecting the wearer from Critical Hits to offensive postures like gaining a Bonus Action. They are fantastic in melee, especially with at least another allied melee fighter in range who can take advantage of the Paladin’s buffs and close-range support (and the limited range of Lay on Hands). At Level 1, Oath of Devotion Paladins get their first Channel Oath ability: Holy Rebuke , which damages melee attackers.
It’s worth dipping into Fighter a little bit for the one extra attack, but players can even go as far as Ranger 7/Fighter 5 to get an extra attack every turn, though this mean losing out on more high-level Ranger abilities.
The max level in Baldur’s Gate 3 is Level 12, and most of the time, each level you gain will grant something new for your Ranger build. On character creation you gain the basics for the Ranger class, then steadily gain Feat Choices, new spells and abilities, subclass features, and increase your Proficiency Bonus.
The best Ranger companions in BG3 are Halsin as a fellow support and damage role, Karlach as your primary melee Tank and bruiser, and Gale as a ranged spellcaster dealing damage and controlling the battlefield from afar.
