Nobles get proficiency in History and Persuasion , and tend to trigger Inspiration when performing acts of great heroism, like trying to save the Duke from the burning building, or when interacting with the iconic and powerful figures of the Sword Coast, like Ketheric or His Majesty, the hairless cat.
Armour is an important component of Baldur’s Gate 3. Multiclassing with the Sorcerer class as a Paladin can be tricky, even though both classes rely on Charisma for their abilities. It’s important for melee characters to unlock their extra attacks, which the Paladin gets at Level 5, but Paladins also get a powerful Aura at Level 6. This leaves just 6 levels for the Sorcerer multiclass.

For Way of Shadow Monks, stealth is the name of the game, and these two abilities give them more ways to get into position faster without being seen. Some other decent racial options for Monks include the Drow, for their proficiency in Stealth, or the Wood Elf, for their extra movement speed.
Lae’Zel : Best suited for the Battle Master subclass, Lae’Zel can almost singlehandedly handle your front line, drawing attention from enemies and able to withstand attacks better than some other classes.
If you are dead set on including a character in your party, simply talk to Withers to respec them to one of the optimal Paladin companion classes listed above. This way, you won’t miss out on that character’s questline, and you won’t have to suffer from an improperly balanced party.
Folk Heroes, on the other hand, gain proficiency in Animal Handling and Survival and trigger inspiration when doing acts of heroism but more in a mythical and localized sense, like freeing the Hag’s thralls, rescuing named NPCs, and otherwise working to help the downtrodden and helpless.
Monks who follow the Way of Shadow subclass will find themselves more easily able to pull off stealthy maneuvers and benefit from sticking to the shadows and out of sight. It’s something between a melee and a ranged caster class, with lots of variety – now that the full release of Baldur’s Gate 3 is here, fans are starting to understand just how strong this class can be.
