While the environment and scenery are visually fairly indistinct from what we saw, they were interesting enough, with materials to gather, enemies to defeat, and puzzles to solve. We played through a brief logic puzzle that was just above the boss fight demo, Sword Acorus Locations and it was a Tetris block-style conundrum that was a fun distraction. **Wuthering Waves employs a 3-unit combat system with a design focus on swapping between them at beneficial times ** during battle to maximize their synergies. It’s not ground-breaking, but the implementation is excellent – slowly building up a charge bar while using abilities and properly timing dodges allows players to then swap into a new unit that has an immediate effect upon entering the battlefield. Danjin is a high-risk, high-DPS character who likes to stay as low on health as possible while still remaining alive on the battlefield. In essence, she doesn’t necessarily want healing. Jianxin functions mainly as a shielder and buffer , giving Danjin an easy swap out when things are not going her way. Jianxin’s skill also allows her to perfectly parry every single attack in the game (once), allowing players to handle particularly hard-to-dodge boss attacks with ease. With her ultimate and outro skill, Jianxin can CC enemies (sort of like Venti from Genshin Impact ), allowing Danjin an easier time hitting enem
