Conjure a flaming scimitar in your hand that deals 3d6 Fire damage and sheds bright light in a 3m radius and dim light in a 6m radius. The blade can be unequipped and equipped again, but has to stay on the spellcaster’s person.
Generate a painfully intense ringing noise that deals 3d8 Thunder damage to all nearby creatures and objects. Affected creatures made of inorganic material such as stone have disadvantage on their saving throws. On a successful save, creatures still take half damage.

Transform yourself or an ally into a cloud of mist to avoid attacks. The target becomes Resistant to all damage, gains Advantage on Constitution, Dexterity, and Strength Saving Throws, and becomes tiny in size.
Touch a creature to grant it protection against poisonious influences. You neutralise all poisons affecting it, grant it Advantage on Saving Throws against being Poisoned, and grant it Resistance to Poison damage.
Protect a creature against aberrations, celestials, elementals, Arcane archer titanstring bow fey, fiends, and undead. The target can’t be Charmed, Frightened, or possessed by them, and when these creatures attack it, they do so with disadvantage. Inflicts Protection from Evil and Good
Transform yourselfand all nearby party members into tiny clouds of mist to avoid attacks. You become Resistant to non—magical damage, gain Advantage on Constitution, Dexterity and Strength Saving Throws, and become tiny in size.
Call down a silvery beam of pale light that deals 2d10 Radiant damage to any creatures that enters it or starts its turn in the light. You can use an action to move the beam 18m. On a successful save, targets still take half damage.
Monks who follow the Way of Shadow subclass will find themselves more easily able to pull off stealthy maneuvers and benefit from sticking to the shadows and out of sight. It’s something between a melee and a ranged caster class, with lots of variety – now that the full release of Baldur’s Gate 3 is here, fans are starting to understand just how strong this class can be.
Though there aren’t a lot of choices to make as a Monk, BG3 still provides the Way of Shadow subclass with plenty of new abilities and skills – they are just granted automatically for being a Way of Shadow Monk, rather than offered as a choice like some other classes.
Monks rely on DEX and WIS for the majority of their abilities, and Way of Shadow Monk builds are no different. Choose a background that either fits with these types of skills for further bonuses to your rolls, like the Criminal which grants proficiency to Stealth (used for Hide) and Deception.
In Baldur’s Gate 3 , Monk builds can be enhanced further with the use of specific consumables. Certain potions, like the Elxir of Bloodlust, will grant combat-oriented bonuses for this best Monk build, while others, like the Potion of Invisibility, will enhance the Monk’s innate ability to stay stealthy in any circumstance.
Githyanki are an extremely powerful race in Baldur’s Gate 3 , and a good default choice for just about any class thanks to its innately strong racial abilities. The Githyanki gain the Astral Knowledge ability, which grants Proficiency in every Skill that related to a chosen Ability Score – arguably the best racial ability for dialogue and roleplay in Baldur’s Gate 3 . That’s just the start of it, though.
Wyll : A Fiend Warlock, Wyll’s spell list is somewhat limited compared to Gale, being a Warlock comes with its own benefits. Play Wyll as a hybrid of both ranged damage and ranged control, inflicting CC on enemies as often as you attack them
Choosing the Thief Rogue subclass as a Monk will bar the player from the Shadow Strike ability (Level 11 Shadow Monk) and the Purity of Body ability (Level 10 Monk). However, it unlocks the ability to Sneak Attack, which works perfectly in tandem with the Shadow Monk’s playstyle.
In Baldur’s Gate 3 the max level you can reach is Level 12, and most classes will have something to choose from at every level-up. Unfortunately, this BG3 Monk build has the fewest number of leveling choices to make. In fact, aside from your Subclass and Feats, Monks don’t really have any leveling choices to make.

Snap an ally out of any Stun. Difficult Terrain can‘t slow them down, and they can’t be magically Paralysed or Restrained. If the target is Restrained by non-magical means, it can spend 5ft of movement to Free itself.
